About

I am an artist who works with a combination of digital and traditional media to create biomedical and scientific illustrations. Vector artwork, patient education materials and promotional graphics for scientific journal articles are additional features of my work. My goal is to bring clarity and beauty to topics rooted in science and medicine.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a BFA in Graphic Design and began working as a freelance illustrator in San Diego, California. Among the clients I’ve enjoyed working with are Plural Publishing, Patton’d Studios, Reference Point Press, Miscible, United European Gastroenterology Journal, Pearson Publishing, Bridgepoint Education, Walter Foster, MCG Health, Minnesota Sea Grant, and Lake and Cook County Departments of Soil and Water.

It has been my privilege to collaborate with a variety of experts within their fields to create vivid and clear illustrations illuminating concepts within health sciences, anatomy, nature, science and technology.

I currently reside in Duluth, Minnesota with my wife and two children near the shores of Lake Superior.
